Monarchs' favorite fall nectar plants

Here are some of the monarch nectar plants that bloom in the fall.

monarch on goldenrod

I think this is showy goldenrod.

monarch on rugosa

This is solidago rugosa - another type of goldenrod.

monarch on stiff goldenrod

I like all of the goldenrods, but this is one of my favorites - Stiff goldenrod (Solidago rigida).
